Brake pedal sinking...

2013 Fit Sport A/T with about 8800 miles.

I have been noticing this strange behavior with my brakes. When I make a complete stop and just kind of stop and go my brake pedal will sink about 1 inch (might be less but enough to feel your feet to sink just a little bit) and stop. I believe its also consistent with the fan kicking in. And on top of it all, it happens very rarely and within few minutes of turning the car on. Brakes hold the pressure when you press hard while stopped and the car brakes as it should.

Any of you guys have noticed something similar? I'm doing my first oil change anytime now so I will see what Honda has to say about that. It would be pretty weird for MC or VB to go out so early.

That doesn't sound usual to me; definitely ask about it. It does sound as though it could be a master cylinder defect or a problem with the vacuum booster system. It is possible (though uncommon) that there is some sort of a manufacturing defect in one of the parts, or a minor assembly problem (such as a vacuum or brake line leak, or a failure to fully bleed the system).

Mine does that too, on very rare occasions, and only after I first start it. Thought it was weird, but evey Fit I drove on the lot did that, so as far as Honda cares its normal.
