Hit the dragstrip!

Hit the dragstrip!
I went to the races tonight (well, 4-5 hours ago, its technically saturday morning)
Only 2 modifications, neither making a huge difference
1) my personal DIY intake mod, pictures in my album
2)grounding kit, pictures also in my album
This car really slows down after heatsoak, it got so hot the black plastic plenum was HOT! The runners were in burn status
This track was new to me. And so was running the fit down there!
First run was a whopping 18.9. Whoops! Traction control was on, and the tires were cold!
I ran a second time, 17.7 Driver window down, heater/fan maxxed, Good tire burn out, and most importantly, traction control off!
3rd and best run of the day was awesome! 16.3 seconds!! ambient was about 62 degrees, I would guess around 25-30% humidity
All this was done in daily status. My 220-230 pound ass, plus 300-350 pounds in tools, car jack, jackstands, spare tire, 3 big subwoofers, 2 heavy amps, 2 big sub boxes, car parts, huge pack of rags and microfiber towels, and some of my military gear.
I would rather know my times in the state my car is every day, rather then stripping it out for the sake of .1-.2 seconds faster.
I will post a picture of my timeslip in several hours, and a picture of my windshield where they marked my time and car number.
Feels good to have beaten quite a few other cars out there! To top it off, I reset my average mpg gauge right when I entered the track. After several runs, and idling, and driving back after a run back to parking area, I still managed 29mpg
There were some great cars out there! a subaru WRX STI modded and tuend ran a 10.something, oldschool chevy blazer, 4x4 ran an 11.something, and an alcohol 150cc mini dragster ran a 9.47 on his 2nd run, didnt catch his 1st or the ones following.
A corvette ate up his turbo, smoking badly and humming stupid loud. Good thing that guy trailered it down.
Feels good guys, I havent hit the dragstrip in about 3 years! And my second run put me right back!
For those interested in the heatsoaking problem, I ran an 18.9 with a hot clutch, warm tires, and a motor that gave up on producing good power. 5 minutes of idling with the heater on blast managed to give me a following run of 17.9.
Definitely looking into a thermal gasket and a better radiator in the future.
Also going to buy a 01-05 civic clutch master, the clutch starting to slip HORRIBLE after I ran that 18.9 After cooling down, car returned to normal.

I guess this is the sorta thing you're talking about. $20 and all the abuse your Fit can take seems like a fun deal.
So what was the slowest car out there? Oddest?

Before I had a chance to clean the windshield, I got a lot of weird looks. Pretty sure people underestimate hondas. For what they are made for in some classes, they have never been slower then an 18 in the quarter.
Even my stock 60whp d15b2 4 door from 1990 still managed a 17.9 on the granny long gear that was accidently sourced for it after #2 went out from abusive driving lol
EDIT fully Honda stock except those two mods. tires still dunlops, I ran 34 psi up front and 39 psi in teh back. I had to lose a bit more pressure after my 3rd run or so to lower my wheelspin off the line a bit.
Even catching 4th, I still chirped the tires.
I think my 3 next mods will be filled motor mounts, better tires, and something to combat the heatsoak. Thinking of coating the intake runners and plenum, and having a thermal gasket made (unless there is one on the market)
I still dont know how my ifrst cold run of 18.9 with traction control matched my heatsoaked motor, warm tires, and warm clutch run of 18.9 I kinda figured even with severe heatsoak the warm tires would keep me faster then the initial cold run
