Need Help.

I'm driving an '09 Fit Sport @ 60,000 mile

I've run into the "misfire" problem a lot of owners seem to be running into. Gas mileage is poor, about 20city, 26hwy. Running mid grade fuel.

Since I've owned the car I've never had an engine light turn on.

Took it to my mechanic, he did a full diagnostics on the car and changed the plugs($200). Ran great for 2 days. Did some reading on here and figured it might be the ignition coils. Dropped $205 for a full set, installed myself. Ran great for a day. Also regapped the plugs to .035, that's helped reduce some misfire. Car struggles to accelerate, kept the car in manual mode to get more power out of the car. All the misfiring that I can feel tends to be while idling, worse with A/C running, or at low RPMS. I'll even hear some random knocking if I idle for awhile.

I've done a lot of reading on here, I don't feel it would be an 02 sensor, I would think the car would throw a code if it was the sensor. Same thoughts with possible vacuum leak. I may be wrong. I'm leaning towards bad/clogged fuel injectors or dirty fuel filter.

So, before I throw anymore money at the problem, what do y'all think is wrong?

Low RPM misfiring or hesitation has been cured by other members by adjusting the valves. There is a big thread on this. Try checking for a thread with car dies at idle to find it.
