Yakima Roof Rack Compatibility from a 2007 STi

Would my Yakima roof rack from a 2007 STi fit my 2011 Fit Sport? I read a post somewhere on here saying it did, but I just wanted to confirm.

Have you tried contacting Yakima?

Nope. Not a bad idea. Thought I'd get a faster response here. Thanks.

That's the thing about making posts on internet forums vs doing research or contacting the vendor

Would you really think I'd get a response from Yakima on a Sunday? Are you a mod or a wannabe?

Probably would have taken even less time if you had gone to yakima's website, built the rack for the FIT, and seen if all part numbers match those for the STI. if not, it won't. (plus you'd know what you would need to buy to make it work).

Thanks for your kind input. I'll do what you guys suggested. Hopefully, this thread helps others that fall into the same situation. I'll update once I find out.

It depends on which Yakima Roof rack system you have from your Subaru?
If you have the q-rack system (2007 Subaru STi/WRX uses Q78 Clips (front and rear)) and the Honda 2008 and older use Q5 Clips (front and rear) and 2009+ uses the Q99 Clips (front and rear)

So all you would need to do is buy the replacement Q-Clips and you can get the dimensions at http://fitlookup.yakima.com/fitlookup.aspx to get bar dimensions.

Hope this helps.

PS I have an Impreza, Fit Sport, 2 E30's and use the same bars on all three with three different sets of Q-Clips.

I came to update the thread and you beat me to it, with awesome info. And yes, I just need the Q99 clips.
