Cargo Cover

Does anyone know of a solid heavy/hard plastic cargo cover? We got the OEM one and I'm not impressed compared to our last vehicle.

Thanks for any input. This is our first Honda and so far we are loving it

This will likely need to be a custom Job. I looked at possibly moutnting a free-air subwoofer that I have laying around and an amp on a custom cargo cover...

BUT...

When I pushed down on the areas that the cargo cover secures too, they too seemed flimsy as there is no real support (other than the plastic sides).

If you are looking for a firmer solution, since you have the cargo cover, you could add a few metal braces under the current cargo cover for additional support.

I just cut out a cover from 1/4" plywood, then glued and stapled some carpet to it. With the rear seats forward a bit, it slides in.

ISO oem shop suggestions

I need to buy a cargo cover for my fit. I had seen the prices at HandA but the shipping to east coast makes it less cost effective than just going to my own dealer. Are there any places that sell OEM cargo covers pretty cheaply for the '13 base that are located on the east coast? Preferably in the NY/PA region or NH area?

An Amazon reseller has it for only $120 plus $10 shipping:

Honda Fit Genuine Factory OEM 08U35-TK6-111 Cargo Cover 2013 : Amazon.com : Automotive Honda Fit Genuine Factory OEM 08U35-TK6-111 Cargo Cover 2013 : Amazon.com : Automotive

That seems pretty reasonable to me. I think I paid something like $160 or $180 at Honda when I bought my car.

I ordered mine online from Bernardi Honda for $117 + shipping - it was $50 less then the local dealer before shipping

Honda Cargo Cover (Fit) - Bernardi Honda Parts and Accessories

You do have to recline the rear seats more so that they will meet the front of the cargo cover - you'll see one of the reviews on their site says there is space between the cover and the seat because they probably didn't know the seat reclined a bit more.

Yes, if you recline the rear seats fully back, there is only a small gap, as I mention in my Amazon review. I think a good way to completely cover the .5 inch remaining gap would be to use foam window weather stripping on the edge of the cover, but I have never bothered.
