2nd 12v accessory socket install

Not being able to use my cup holder that is in front of the 12 volt accessory socket, I mounted a second one inside the upper glove box, on the left side. Bought a fuse adapter, that allows you to add a second fused circuit to a fuse socket.
Worked great. Now I can keep the GPS plugged in and stored in the glove box, and when using, can still use the cup holder. Nice (NOT) design Honda.

With all the great engineering they put into a car, it's a shame they miss the boat, on some small details. Like the sunvisor, that when turned for side window use, is about 2" too high to be effective. If the mounting bracket, had a different angle it would work fine.

I have no issues with the 12v Adapter and my garmin. I can still use the cup holder with no issues.

Do you have photos of the install (or at least the completed installation?)

I do agree on the visor and using it to block side sunlight.... ugh, they should have just made it fixed.

My camera is down, so no pic. I just bought a lighter socket, and drilled a hole in the side of the upper glove box for it. Then bought a fuse adaptor to add a circuit. The adaptor made it easy. Hardest part, was getting the damn, miniature fuse out. Be sure to select a fuse, that is only on, when the key is on.
Here is a link to it. Auto Zone might carry them as well.

I used a similar add-a-fuse and the supplied Fuse Puller in the Fusebox when I Did my Valentine1 Hardwire installation (linked in my sig). I'd like to take apart one of the USB power adapters (got a dual one for standard and 2.1A, aka iPad, connections) and see how best to flush mount those sockets next to the standard 12v accessory. Then install a single USB up on the dash by the a-pillar window for my gps. Fewer cords and I'm sure I'll install other items there in the future.
