Hey guys, I haven't really started taking my new Fit (09) apart yet, and I was wondering if anyone happens to know if I can install an amp without upgrading the head.

I guess the real question is if the stock stereo has an output for an amp?

 

Almost all factory head units do not have a an output for an amp. Doesn't mean you can't connect one though. You'll need a a line level output connection. Google will be your friend.

 

Without changing the quality of the head, it's not going to be much better..just louder. The speakers aren't bad for factory, but the head is.

Go ahead and do the whole system + jdm hazard while you're in there. You'll be happier. You'll find plenty of help in the audio section as well.
