Road Sound Adjustments 2011

Hello all,

Was wondering what adjustments were made to the 2012 / 2013 models that decrease sound while driving.
Is is something that could be outfitted to previous model fits? A metal panel on the base perhaps?
Any info on how the fit decreased sound between those years would be helpful.

i do not know, but i removed the rear interior of my 2013 and lined it with several coats of plastidip that i had laying around. minor improvement, more so response from speakers/subs.

specific sound insulation would be more effective and still under $100

Sound deadening materials would have been added, not metal: that would conduct sound.

From pictures I've seen of Euro fits they also coat the back of the plastic interior panels with something.

Dynamat is good stuff, pricey though. There is cheaper material people have used from home building supply stores but some of it stinks.

There are cheaper versions of dynomat that are exactly the same.

Bit of research and you will see
