i may be retarded but there are ALOT of tubes to the left side of the battery.

Thank you for the pictures. Your long breather pcv tube, where does that lead to? My piping has the nipple for the breather hose right below where the maf is. Yours looks different for some reason.

Omg, do I have the piping on backwards? I thought the bend is supposed to go towards the front of the car?

i bought mine used and it was already set-up how it came from the previous car. the nipple is on the firewall side. maybe that's the problem.

Just came back from drive, so you know what that means . I guess that was the problem all along. I knew it was something stupid, just never thought of that. Thanks a million for all your help, and in the end it was your photo that solved the mystery.

so the MAF was backwards because the intake was backwards? Best laid plans and all... easy to do since it's not so obvious since the intake is so short.

I'm glad you got it figured out. Just remember the breather tube is always behind the MAF sensor to keep from contaminating it.

You live and you learn what's funny is that I have put intakes intakes systems in a BMW, a Nissan, and a two SUV's and I end up getting stuck on a Honda lol oh well all is good now, thanks guys
