To all my fellow BC people. I was wondering if the top nut when installing bc coilovers spinned on you or i'm doing something wrong here?

When i tried to tighten the nut the shaft spins with the rubber hat. I've tried holding with vice but it still spins.

Maybe i'm doing something wrong? hope you guys can shine some light.

I reused the top hat from oem strut and the spring washer. For rear i reused the two hats and the black metal washer thing.

I preloaded the springs to 200mm.

I'm pretty sure this problem is causing me to have this spring noise coming from the coilover which is driving me nuts. I hear the noise when i turn my wheels at a relativity slow speed or at a dead stop. On oem struts it had allen key insert for the shaft so it wont spin but BC coilovers doesnt have that feature so i'm guessing there's some other kind of feature to compensate for that?

I don't own BC coilovers but if it's anything like the oem strut, are you talking about the very top nut on top of the strut tower for the front? You need a hex screw to hold the shaft in place and then tighten for oem strut, not sure if its the same for your coilovers
