Hello, this is my first post.

I received notification a navigation update was available for my car at a cost of $100. Wondering why the update isn't covered under warranty. It's an update, similar to a software flash. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Ask the dealership about doing it. Map updates are not always critical, example, the mpas on my JVC navigation deck is from over a year ago, and it got me home just fine (1300 miles)

Cannot hurt to ask! Id search online for other sources first though. Might be able to find a navigation disc being sold on ebay or something such.
