Would You Take This Deal? [With Edit]

New 2013 Honda Fit

Base Model

Manual Transmission

$15,350 for the car. Add tax and license. And you're done.

This is the offer I'm considering.

You know the car. You know the market. Tell me your thoughts.

Dude, don't let that offer go. Its super!!!!!!!! Once you get the cash just add $1000++ and get yourself a brand new '13 Base Fit.
Good luck. I pre-sold my '08 Base auto for less than $7,000. Your salesmanship got me beat!!!!

Just wanna make sure i read this correctly. A brand new 2008 fit base model? Unheard of. As in 0 miles??? If so, i'd haggle the price down coz its about 6 yrs old. There's the ge and the gk models now. I'd go with '13 fit.

Sorry, guys. My bad. I meant 2013 Honda Fit Base Model. I believe the original post is now corrected.

I'd still like your opinion on the deal.

Thanks.

I'd still haggle the price down for the 2013 honda fit base model. Coz the 2015 is already out so they should give you a better deal than that. I saw from the thread "how much did you pay for your fit?", one guy was able to buy his 2013 honda fit sport A/T around $15.5 plus TTF...

You might do better. Honda has been offering the dealers an extra $750 to play with for a limited time (thru May 12, 2014), according to online information I found. Check out the rebates and incentives information of the Edmunds website.

Just declined dealer offer at the end of the month (2 days ago), on new, base model 2013 MT they have in stock, for 14495... plus T&L and dealer add-on @$300 (paperwork and profit).. Yes, the 790 destination charge was included. No, I did not get the offer in writing. I made no offers.. They did.

Have decided to wait and try out the 2015's for size and elbow room... Have become accustomed to Civic Wagon over the past 25 years, and it is a little close for elbow room at times with passenger. The 2013 is very close for me at the door, with seat pushed pretty far back and backrest fairly upright, for elbow room. Hope the 2015 is better.

You can get it lower than that in my experience. The initial quote I received was $14,813.00 plus tax and title. My OTD price was around 16k, and I've seen others get it cheaper than that. I did not use the financing deal or any other deals as I didn't want to mess around with financing, and just wanted to buy it outright.

Yeah, it's high considering the current market. I'd be looking for something in the 14's plus ttt.

Even though it's new it has the stigma of being a "2013" (there was no 2014 model). And they have 2015s they need to make room for, both space and capital.

I have a 13 Fit Base 5 MT that I bought in Jan. I think it is a great little car. Mine is gray and it looks nice - makes it look a little more "upscale", altho it does show the dirt some. Hope you find a good car!

I just bought a 2013 new DX-A manual 5 speed with air conditioning for (effectively) 13700 Canadian plus taxes (after all incentives). Of course, I think I bought the 2nd or 3rd last one in the province. (Canada has a 2014 one that is identical in design to the 2013 (the 2014 LX gets floor mats), so this is a car that has been sitting in car lots for a year+)

This includes PDI/AC tax/etc, but not GST (sales tax) or registration. The Canadian DX-A does not come with power locks, unlike the US one.

A "2014" would be another 1000-1500$ up here.

Power locks+bluetooth+spoiler+heated mirrors+cruise control+keyless entry would also be another 1000-1500$. (however, 2013 ones with that package have sold out in my province, bah)

So I wouldn't take the above deal. Because I found a better one. Do not know if anything like the above is available where you live, however.

Then its more like $15,000 should be the MAX total price OTD. Let 'em squirm at bit and am sure you can get off another 1k or more. Good luck.

My quote

Saturday I received a quote that was basically a thousand off list for a 13 base 5 speed $15,200 plus 199 doc and tax

The great quote was for a 13 Sport manual that was almost $2000 off list-but it wasn't my color.
I've been trying to buy a '12 certified base manual 15,000 miles but they are sticking to $12,250.
I'm waiting for the new offers that should come out on or about May 13th.

im not into the base so i wouldn't take it. will end up spending money on the base to make it closer to the sport... buying sport straight out would be cheaper probably.

Yep. Always cheaper to buy the car you want in the first place.
