As for the HID, unfortunately, it doesn't entire prove it wasn't the fault of the HID either. Because you said worked fine and didn't shut down for 500 miles since i stalling the HID. Well, what about all the miles BEFORE installing the HID, when the car didn't shut down?

You said your VSA never worked in the first place... Did you ever take in to get checked out? Or did you just ignore it until now?

While i do recall there being a recall regarding VSA, it was relating to miscalculations of VSA when non-stock tire/wheels were used. Beyond that, reflashes only applied to cars that appear to need it. In other words, case by case basis.

Yeah I got the HID new for free since I installed my buddies for him. So I cant complain, I might eventually upgrade one day because these are not focusing the light like I hoped they would. Although they do look nice.

It doesn't prove it was or wasn't but what do you know the dealership flashed the computer and now it works just as it did for the 500 miles after the install. Honestly in retrospect I could have been anything there are endless reasons why. What we do know as fact is, the HID are still installed and the car runs 100% fine. Case closed!

Regarding my VSA I didn't have it checked out because I didn't really care enough to waste my time driving to the dealer for a feature that may or may not make a difference in a urban sunny warm weather (california) commute. I planned to take it in when I had my first free oil change at 6000miles (roughly)

I have OEM 16inch alloy wheels and tires so the VSA would not be effected there.

Everything works fine now and I am happy once again. Next up for mods is OEM/Mugen rain visors, 20% tint and red H emblems keeping it simple and true to Honda upgrade path lol

Do everyone and yourself a favor by taking that cheap garbage out. Blinding oncoming traffic isn't worth looking 'nice'. It might even save your life from being plowed head on by a bro truck or semi.

If you want to do HID the right way, don't be a cheap ass and go the correct route of retrofitting.

I'm not sure you understand how stability control systems work...

Nice way to blow something out of proportion to TRY and prove a point. Its not even that bad its only slightly blinding when staring straight into the headlight from a low view. Trust me I've tested it by not only being followed but also directly sitting in another passenger vehicle staring straight into the light. No truck or semi truck would even notice the additional light output. Call me a criminal but 1/5 cars has a cheap HID system these days.

Regarding the VSA please explain. Cars didn't have them before and if you are not hooning, following to closely or just plainly driving like a jackass the VSA will never do anything in 99% of situations. I've driven hard with and without and I barely feel a difference. I mean the Base models didn't even have it or a rear sway bar and they are fine

mitsubeastlee- I don't know that your problem is caused by the lights, my point is that from a troubleshooting perspective it is the first thing that has to be eliminated as a cause- and nobody is going to do that for free, or even with any degree of certainty. You need to pay for the time before anyone af the dealership can tell Honda with a straight face that there's something wrong with your car that Honda owes you a fix for.

I completely understand

I added something after market
Car has issue
Obviously aftermarket part

Clearly the car is running fine now which leads me to believe it was something unrelated to HID. They flashed the ECU and now it all works. The HID are still INSTALLED and there is NO issue. I can't stress that enough.

From an outsiders standpoint and also from a fellow car enthusiast what you guys are saying makes sense trust me I've given similar advice on other forums.

I'm with you, and I hope the flash changed enough things to keep problems from happening again. But it was only a guess on their part.

Only time will tell so far I've put an additional 350miles since I've had the car back from the dealer.

I've started it cold 3-5 times now

Each time turning the lights on instantly to recreate the situation

Nothing happens. I will report back after I log more miles.

Of course light won't focus, it's a stock headlamp assembly. Consider getting a retro.

and....visors&emblems aren't really a "MOD", more just visuals.
this is what you would consider, a "mod":

Yeah I would love to do projector headlights like what my EVO VIII has but $400-1000 isn't in the budget right now for headlights. That would still not change anything regarding this thread. Projectors still use a standard HID kit they just focus the light.

Yes I know those are cosmetic changes, I have a thread of all the stuff I've done with the car so far and what I plan to do. Moreover my review on the 2013 Fit Sport so far.

https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/showthread.php?t=81607

I do not plan to go past a intake, b pipe and exhaust as I already have a 650whp Evolution VIII toy/drag car so yeah trust me I know about mods I've built my car from home stock to where it is now.
