Louder horn

My mom can't hear my horn when I stop by to pick her up.
I live in the country so it could be loud.
Any suggestions of a model to order?

Make some real noise with this

Replace your hockey puck meep-meep horn with a Stebel Nautilus

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00CMX20H4/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1415502974&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40

Mount it to the front frame just forward of the ac condenser. You'll need the wiring kit or your own stuff + relay. This WILL wake up stupid people not paying ATTN!

Three Horns Should Do It.

In addition to the OEM “meep, meep” horn, I added a pair of PIAA Sports Horn for around $48 from Amazon. My car now sounds like a large American car. Like gkitf16 said, you will need wiring and a relay. Good luck.

As noted above, there are plenty of easy options, I personally went with the Fiamm El Grande horns, easy to install (w/ relay) and cheap (about $20). Sounds like a "normal" car now lol (i.e loud) ........my only regret was not doing this mod any sooner! I'm no longer embarrassed to lay on the horn

I'd love a four-note set of

Would need a relay though.

I replaced mine with a Honda Accord horn, simple plug and play for the non-mechanical.

All of the above are decent horns, i've never heard the Accord horn.

You could also grab a pair of air horns off a Lexus or other luxo car at the junkyard if you want to be cheap about it and wire it up with a relay, they sound pretty nice usually

I just used the Hella Twin Trumpets because they were cheap and good enough.

Most important thing is to follow the wire gauge recommendation for whatever horn you get, don't cheap out and use whatever is laying around, they won't be as loud and you can burn the wiring on the +12V circuit.

I've spent the past couple of days listening to horn sounds on YouTube. Some of the aftermarket horns sound pretty good to me; but some of their reviews indicate that reliability might be questionable in some cases.

If I am going to spend three hours, or so, removing and replacing the bumper for horn installation, I would prefer to only do it once. I am leaning heavily toward the proven reliability of the four note AC Delco horns from some some of the GM cars. Space to install them might be a problem since there are four horns; but I love the sound.

I think you are on the right track.
Please post concerning application. I've got a buddy who has a '81 Seville right now. It looks like a gangster but sounds like a quartet of angels.
Happy Holidays

Mercedes 600 Grosser horn.

Seriously though, GM makes a loud horn. Even my little cavalier had a pretty loud horn on it.

Well, things are moving pretty fast. I ordered a set of Cadillac Four Note Horns from a seller on eBay last night. Just received an email saying that they have been shipped. I'll pick up a horn relay and other bits and pieces for wiring them locally.

That sounds like a great horn setup. I wonder how you will be able to fit all of them in there. I had planned to put a pair of FIAMM horns on my car in the spring, but these sound really nice.

We await pictures!

I'm anxious to try this mod. If this guy can get three of the horns on a bicycle, I'm hoping there will be room for four somewhere on the Fit.
