New 2013 Honda Fit Sport Owner
New 2013 Honda Fit Sport Owner
Good evening! I browsed around this site before I decided to make my vehicle purchase, it was head and head between the Mazda Speed3 and the Honda Fit.... I decided to go with the fit, after looking at all of my options and browsing around for the last bit I found a nice 2013 that had everything I wanted!
Took a drive to the non local dealership and I signed the paperwork this evening after work. What a fun drive home it was
This puppy runs and drives like a champ!
The drive home was mostly highway, semi's flying by and all that jazz, I was kind of worried at first with all of the comments about sometimes being blown around but I had no issues at all.
I found the cabin noise at 70-75 to be really quiet, I had no problems carrying on a phone conversation at 2500RPM.
I cant wait to take it for a spin tomorrow
~ Here are some pics that I snapped on the drive home. Terrible Lighting but it will give you an idea of the looks

Thanks!
Its an auto, i debated long and hard on which option I wanted and I opted for the automatic, I am digging the paddle shifters with those and the MPG gauge its almost like playing the efficiency game, can i keep it well over 40MPG!
My thoughts on the decision to pick up a automatic:
All of my previous car's have had manual transmissions 1982 E30 BMW / 1989 VW GTI / 97 BMW 7 series / 2005 VW Golf VR6 / 2006 Mini Cooper S , I prefer German engineering but i wanted something different out of the fit. I did Buy it at a Volkswagen Dealership
I am now a father and spend most of my driving time chatting it up with my kiddo in the back seat, an automatic seems to give me some freedom to just drive and have fun.
My choice for the fit was for the experience with handling and not so much performance oriented. Its hard to get excited about sub 120HP performance, although this does zip around well in traffic.

Welcome. Have had my '13 since June of this year and I love it.
Did the dealership add in the oem window visors and rear splash guards? or possibly previous owner?
Also if you haven't done so. I recommend trying out "S" sport mode. You don't need to use the paddle shifters it will still shift for you, however the transmission will stay in higher rpms and will hit/ stay in Vtec longer...it honestly feel like a different car when engaged.

I have messed around with the sport mode as well as the paddle shifters some so far and it has been a blast to drive! Even though it has tons less raw horsepower than my previous vehicles it still has that fun factor for sure.
I live in rural Kentucky so there are tons of winding back roads to explore.
I believe the options were factory installed, I talked to the previous owner before I made the purchase and he said he didn't do anything to the car but drive it, he traded it in for a passat after a year of ownership. It was an older fella. I don't think he even broke the car in fully, it is in pristine condition.
