I have a '12 Fit base model. When I turn the wheel on a cold start I hear a squeal. Seems to be worse on a right turn. If I understand correctly, this model Fit has electronic power steering. Most troubleshooting guides says I need to add power steering fluid, check for leaks, etc., but if I have EPS, this leaves me in a bit of a dilemma; there is no power steering fluid.

Any other ideas or areas I need to check?

 

Can anyone speak to this? I'm really not sure what to do.

 

Maybe the belt squeals because of the increased resistance on your alternator pulley?
