Less power steering at high speeds?

Is there any way to stiffen up steering at high speeds? I bought the 2012 Fit S M/T moving from a '98 VW Jetta, and maybe I just need to get used to it, but it feel like the power steering is a bit over-sensitive at highway speeds (70mph). Small movements of the steering wheel result in larger directional changes than I would like, making it more difficult to rest a hand down at 6 o-clock and just cruise.

" The fit has power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering with a revised rack to reduce steering effort a low speed. As speed rises, the power-assist gradually increases steering effort to a more reassuring level. "
Is it possible to change the fluid in the power steering system to achieve "more reassurance"?

It's electric power steering, no fluids. I'm thinking it could be a lot of work to change its characteristics.

At high speed would be more prudent to use 10 and 2. Steering is fine then.

This has always been my preferred steering position, but on the Fit it just doesn't work very well until you get accustom to it's handling characteristics.

Black3sr hit it - thumbs above the spokes. It is a well designed steering wheel.
