So I got a little die-cast Fit to put on the dashboard of my actual Fit (probably attached with velcro).

I was going to put it on the passenger side, right above the glove compartment, but then I noticed the SRS airbag logo. I assume this means the airbag deploys from that location, and that it wouldn't be a good location for the toy car.

Is this correct, and is there anywhere else on the dashboard that would be unsafe to attach a decoration like this?

I'd shoot for directly behind the center vents on the dash. Fairly flat and not textured.

 

You are correct in what you surmise about the airbag.

Above the vents would be OK, as would between the vent/radio pod and the gauge cluster pod. If it fits, you could perhaps stick it on the ledge between the two glove boxes, though that's a prime sunglasses stash location.
