About a month ago my driver-side rear door stopped unlocking. I can't unlock it manually or with the fob. If I press the unlock button on the fob, the interior manual lever seems like it's trying to move, but it won't budge.

Anybody else had a similar issue? How did you fix it?

 

You can have this happen when the lock mechanism sticks. Liberal use of a spray oil with the little tube into the mechanism by putting the tube past the window got me in a car that had the look stuck once..

 

The door lock actuators on this car are garbage and all break prematurely. I had my driver's door lock replaced last year and currently have a broken passenger door lock, one broken rear door lock, and a broken hatch lock. Some of the fanboys around here insist they only break because of user error (holding the handles when pressing lock/unlock), but that's a load of crap. Sorry and good luck.

 

the 09 that i traded a while back had a bad corrosion problem on the gate lever. it wouldn't unlock nor lock. i sprayed liberal amounts of WD40 and it was fine for 7-8months, but had to re-apply. my '12 GE is fine still..
