How to change a hub [Amateur Tutorial]
I changed both front hubs on my 2010 Honda Fit (Automatic/Base). I learned something and took some pictures so I figured I would share. I am an amateur, I probably did things wrong. Please proceed with caution/I take no responsibility for you actions.
Step 1 ) Jack up car / remove wheel
Step 2 ) Unstake axle nut and remove center of rim (if possible).
Step 3 ) Put wheel back on, take down from jack and get a huge breaker bar and 32mm socket. Have someone hold the car brakes or wedge something in there to depress brake pedal. My axle nut was on so tight I couldn't believe it. I'm guessing at least 400lbs. I had to use all my strength with the breaker bar shown to get it loosen.

Step 4) Remove wheel again. Remove caliper + caliper bracket. Handle the caliper with a zip tie/wire on the struts (will let you slide it around to each side easily)

Step 5) Remove rotor (there is a little phillips screw holding it in place.

Step 6) Disconnect wheel sensor from wheel well (a couple plastic clips hold it to the wall and then there is electrical connection right behind it. I cracked mine when trying to remove it directly from the hub. Wait till the hub is off and you can tap it out from inside. Otherwise it will probably break. So get it entirely disconnected/ready to pull and then leave it in the hub for now.

Step 7) Remove the cotter pins from the tie rod end + ball joint. If its really rusted you will have to break it off and push it out with a piece of wire or a punch.
Step 8) Take off nuts from tie rod end + ball joint. I used an impact gun on my tie rod end. Here is how I got the the ball joint.

If you are unfortunate enough to have the ball joint spin on you, try cleaning the threads / spray with a lubricant/rust breaker. If that doesn't work you can get a thin set of lock pliers on the bolt part by pushing up the rubber. Be 100% sure not to damage the rubber. Never clamp on the rubber.
Step 9) Apparently honda has axles that fall out of their socket. I did not know. Strap your axle in so it can't come out even by accident. It is really really easy to fall out.

What if the thing already fell out? Well I can tell you, I did a lot of reading and I wish I read what I knew now. So let me tell you what I learned. First the axle end looks something like this :

You are trying to get the two part #3 together. The little Y shapped will fit in the housing, you will feel like it go in about 1 cm. Then it will get stuck.You can rotate it around 180 degrees and feel lit click in again, but it will only go in a bit. This is because the little circles on the Y (on the axle you are moving around) kinda free wheel. They get tilted all different ways and won't slide in.
I didn't understand what was happening. I though my "circle things" had fallen off (which can happen). It didn't happen to me though, what i needed to do was rotate the axle in as long a range of degrees I could while pushing in. I ended up cutting my metal band and pull the rubber boot off and I still had tons of trouble getting it in. Like a lot of trouble. It also fell out on me twice after I had gotten it properly. I also was dropping the little circle things constantly and cause I"m working on the ground had to clean up every spec of dirt/leaves over and over and over.
So anyway, move the axle in the widest range of motion possible. Straight on didn't work for me at all. I found going all the way to the back of the vehicle as I could was the best angle. It doesn't need much force to go in. You don't need to open up the boot. Once you get it in place, strap it in. It will fall out on you again in one second if you try to hold it by hand.
Step 10) Pop off tie rod end. I don't think you can do this without a ball joint seperator

Step 11) Pop off ball joint

Step 12) Pull hub up and off the axle.
Assembly is the same but in reverse. Clean all threads really clean (specially the tie rod/ball joint. I like using anti-sieze on all threads. If you have trouble getting the nut on the ball joint/tie rod see tricks in step 8. Make sure you don't tighten the axle without the tire on or at least the brakes on. All that stress is not good for the transmission. (134lbs)
