hope all is well. have been a long-time reader of this site. 1st thread. I'm curious to know if anyone has done a reversed flush of the CVT transmission fluid?

I live in Hong Kong and has put about 14000km on my 2014 GE8 so far (yes, 2014 model in HK is still a GE8). Unfortunately, M/T and traditional 5AT or 6AT aren't available here. Frankly, I'm not a big fan of CVT so far.

I've done the regular drain and refill of HMMMF fluid at 10000km on my own and has been following the following thread on one of the sites in HK on "reversed flush" for quite sometime.

The site is in Chinese but I'm hoping some of you can shine some lights on what this guy is doing with a vacuum tank and various hoses as shown in some of the pictures. Scroll down half way to see the pics.

Since my car is relatively new, he is not willing to perform a reverse flush on my GE8 yet. I plan to keep my car for another 10 years and hope to keep all the car in top mechanical condition especially with all the stop-and-go traffic in HK.

He'd seemed to have "rescued" and to have "cured" common aging CVT problems such as the loss of power due to bad fluid, improved gas mileage, blockage, etc. I assume he's doing a by-pass of some sort to force the tranny fluid out? If so, does anyone has a clue how it's done?
