Day time running lights
It's been a while but I believe there is a fuse or something you can pull. Try searching "HID" "fuse" "DTRL" in the search bar. But make sure you click under the "web & images tab" for some reason the regular search function doesn't work very well.
It's fuse #15, "DAY LIGHT."
In the two long rows of fuses it's the second row in, fifth from the bottom. First thing I did to the car.
The fuse diagram is on the outboard side panel of the driver's footwell. Sticking your phone in there to get a pic is the best way to get a look at it.

By the way, on your car the DRLs can't operate at the same time as the headlights because they are the headlights operating at reduced power.
Pulling the fuse does disable the system. I don't really understand why anybody would particularly want to not have DRLs, as having one's car visible to others on the road seems like a good thing to me, but perhaps that's not really any of my business.

The same bulbs, and a switch to operate them right next to my hand when needed. What is one to do?
If being seen by others is your concern, note that the side and rear marker lights don't work unless you hit that switch. DRLs are only seen by people in front of you. And facing you. Hopefully you see them and aren't driving a stealth car- and if your car is silver, hopefully you have your lights on in times of reduced visibility like the rest of us.
DRLs are stupidity that offends me. But if you're into them, that's none of my business.

Maybe I just don't like having a "nanny" controlling things for me....
