I got a used 2013 Honda Fit Sport a while back and was looking up my paint code to order touch up paint for the inevitable scratches. Anyways I noticed the build date was 08/'13 and thought that seemed rather late for a 2013 model. So I was curious how late in the year does honda produce cars for that model year? Not necessarily a serious or important question just curious.

I remember purchasing a brand new Hyundai accent in july of 2002 for college and it was a 2003 model year.

 

Well Honda always does their year end clearance in the fall so it could be before Dec but that said, keep in mind that there was 2014 FIT so The 13 build year could say after 13'. I bought mine in Feb 14. I'll have to look at my door tomorrow. I'll def get back to you on what it reads. You have me curious myself. Honda had to keep producing them vs letting whats left sell. or they'd have nothing to sell and risk loosing customers to other car makers models that could make those customers another group of loyal buys come when another model they may wanna move up to like say a Civic or Accord when that FIT driver maybe has a child or some other reason.

After doing a search on here for build dates I see some 3rd Gen 2015 models with a build date of 02/'14.... that's an awfully early 2015 model, so it may just vary I suppose
