Rat Chewed Wire Help

I hope someone can ID this wire underneath the air filter box. I have had my Fit Stored for over a month because of the AirBag Recall and today when I went to move it it ran funny and shifted hard. The Check engine light is on also. I have what looks like two Completely gone wires that go into connctors under the air filter box. If anyone knows what these might be please let me know. I will be going to the dealer to see if I can find the connector so I can hopefully fix this mess. If not I may need to make yet ANOTHER insurance claim. This will be my 3rd claim and 2 of them are RAT related. I live next to a huge field.

THanks!

I fix the harnesses when rodent damage occurs. Each situation is different though....

Not all people who work on cars can repair wiring and make a long lasting, weatherproof repair.

Thanks for the reply. I would normally fix this myself. But it looks like two parts of the harness at least 5 inches long that go into two connectors. One of the connectors (the grey one) is easily visible. You can see that there is no wire harness going into it. This makes me think that I need to take the whole harness out and splice in at least 7 wires per connector and then solder them in. This is not going to be fun either way.

Did you folks know about this tape?

https://www.amazon.com/Honda-4019-23...ti+rodent+tape

Seems Honda made the insulation from soy based rubber the rodents like to eat.

Yep.

The tough macho mice who drink antifreeze and snort lines of D-CON when they party, like to sit around and chew that tape like beef jerky.

Actually, I do use the stuff whenever I do rodent related wiring repair jobs as long as I can get it wrapped around the wiring (sometimes you can't get 100% covered especially right at the connector). I have about 4 rolls left out of a log of 10 rolls right now. The stuff wasn't cheap. I have seen a couple of these repairs that have been eaten even though the moue tape was used on the repaired area, so it isn't perfect but it does help reduce the problem.
