How to make stock Alarm make sound?
How to make stock Alarm make sound?
Hi Everybody, here again trying something simple but very useful.
Every time i go off my car i have to look back and see lights flashing to confirm i correctly closed it, a simple horn feedback would be absolutely great.
Does someone tried this before?
A simple wire connecting a parking light to the alarm horn was my first idea but of course will sound every time im parking, is there any cable sending just the signal of lock/unlock car to the lights so i can find it in the way to made it turn on a relay and with it made the horn sound?
A conection from nearer the alarm box (if there is one) that i can use will be even better, cus it will help me finding the car in a big parking place by pressing lock button and hearing a horn sound lol.
Thank you!!!

As everyone else said, double-click the lock button. The first click locks, the second gives the horn a quick little beep. After several seconds the key fob lock brain resets itself and another press won't beep but will re-lock the doors (and a further press will beep).
Unfortunately, this isn't all that helpful for locating the car in a parking lot, in my experience, because the range of the key fob is pretty short. If you're close enough to get the car to respond, you're probably close enough already to see and locate it easily.

Thank you for your answers!!!
Sultanofslide, what do u mean with bottom combo on the key fob? A button pressing combination?
Black3sr, yes i have a GE8, but nothing happens when i hit the lock button twice, it just relock the doors, is the latin america fit vertion maybe.
Gderf you have the new fit right? not a 2gen maybe alarm changed slightly
Drewe not working on mine, u r right about finding the car in a parking, but at least hearing a sound when closing would be great, it doesnt matter how fast or how much times i press lock button, it never make the horn sound (the horn works).
Cajlog lol u r right, but i dont have panic button
Theres no hack for the key fob? :P

Yep, that was i was trying to say, the key fob is not exactly the same, here in the user manual, found this two beautiful words "if equipped" when talking about the second press of the button that make horn sound, seems that theres an option some device or something that makes it work, its not stock, at least not on mine. Will have to make it manually if want to hear the horn, key lock fuse is the #14, but from there to find a cable that sends the signal of locking car and make it work for making the horn sound seems to be more dangerous and difficult that usefull, probably will not find someone trying to do this cus is stock there already, so if i do it will show you the results! Thank you very much for your help and answers!!!
The issue may be that your car may not have the 2nd horn for the Alarm/keyless entry. My FIT sport has two separate horns; the normal horn attached to the steering wheel "button" for expressing my displeasure with crappy drivers on the road, and the one for the alarm. It's the 2nd horn that makes the sound when the key fob button is pressed a 2nd time. IF your vehicle is not equipped with this horn (the security system horn) then the chance of it "honking" when you press a lock button is very unlikely as it would require honda to have rewired the primary horn in the vehicle.
The key button sequence mentioned above is the fact that you can program the car to honk the [security] horn when the car is locked using the fob, or only when the lock button is pressed a 2nd time. I don't remember how I did it but mine would honk every time and I changed it so it would only lock (and not honk) when I pressed the button. I didn't want to wake my son when coming home and for me, the locking of the car was loud enough for confirmation.
Search the forum for the Alarm horn to see if there are pictures of it's location. I believe it's in front of one of the wheel wells but I could be wrong. If you don't have the horn, you might need to do some special relay wiring - or it might be as simple as hooking up the horn if the wiring is already in place to the under-hood fusebox.

The car has the stock honda security alarm, just missing the sound when double press lock button and panic button.

Thank you so much the reply, actually the car has 3 horns, there are two wired to the steering wheel (for waking slow drivers of course) one of them is acute and the other low, them sound together to make a better sound. The alarm horn is located behind the baterry a little back from the left front light, its there so it gets difficult to find it, that horn actually works, i repared it about an year ago, its posible to make it sound when opening the car with the alarm armed, but not with the key fob :/
Thank you again!
