Changing Automatic Transmission Fluid

Does arrow point to auto tranny oil drain plug?

2013 Fit Sport Automatic Transmission

I want to perform a simple drain and fill on my 2013 Fit Sport Automatic, replacing only 2.6 QT, then probably repeating the process sometime soon thereafter.

I've looked around, but can't seem to find clear instructions on doing this. Is the drain on the bottom of the transmission case? I found a bolt on the bottom of my case with yellow paint on it and I'm wondering if that's the one. Here's a photo with an arrow pointing to it. Thank you.

There is nothing attached to your post. However, changing the transmission fluid is extremely easy. There is a drain bolt on the bottom, so just remove and drain. There is also an 18mm washer you should replace at the same time.

You can refill through the dipstick (I just measure what came out, then refill the same amount). It is even easier than changing the oil.

I reposted my photo; not sure what happened. I see it now. Is the yellow bolt in my photo the drain bolt? Thank you.

That is NOT the drain bolt.

Look for a larger bolt that will accept a 3/8" square drive.
It's closer to the front, pointing sideways at the right front wheel. (EDIT: pointed TOWARD the right front wheel)

Thanks ezone! I'll take another look underneath. I thought that yellow-headed bolt looked rather puny for a drain plug.

just for future reference don't remove bolts that have those marks because they have been torque specced

Thanks Vash. I guess that's how Honda says 'Stay Away". :-)
