AC problem w/ 2013 Honda Fit Sport - Need advice
So I took a 300 mile trip from DC to NC on Friday, driving through the crazy torrential downpour once I hit i-85(about 3hrs into the trip). Not long after the rain started I noticed the AC was really weak and the air coming in was muggy. I had the recirculate on the entire time. I thought it was just a momentary fluke. I did drive with the AC on for a short trip on Saturday and it worked fine the next day.
On Sunday while driving back to DC, I noticed that the AC was not blowing any cold air two hours into the trip, only warm air. I increased the fan to #4 and the recirculate was still on, but still no cold air. I could hear the fans turning on and off.
While driving to work this morning the AC was working fine again blowing cold air.
Also, I do have the mesh grill in front of the condenser so it is unlikely it is damaged.
So my questions are:
1) It's still under warranty until 1/2017, would this type of issue be covered even if all it needed was a refill?
2) For those who had this issue, what type of repair did you need and did the dealer cover it under warranty?

Initially I didn't find what I was looking for through the search, but now I think I found my answers. If anyone else has a similar issue click the link below for the post regarding a similar problem:

Had the same issue for over 2 years with my 13' Sport. Finally took it to dealership after 1500 mile road trip in May. They said I had moisture in the system caused by collapsed hose. Was covered under ext. warranty
I took the Fit for another road trip after the fix and A/C was blowing cold 100%. No more freezing on low pressure line near the firewall which ONLY happened during long drives, I'm talking about 2h+
EDIT: It's funny how our Fits are having same issues. You're the one with noisy front end ... lol They must have been on the same ass. line , one behind another.

I had the same issue with my 2009 Fit, after about one hour or so of highway driving a/c would start to blow warm air. This was due to evaporator (cooling) coil would freeze-up. I would also notice ice on the suction line if I opened the hood. I pulled a vacuum on the system and found no leaks. Then recharged to 14oz. using the weight method with a digital scale. That solved the problem of freeze-up of the coil. Improper charge from the factory seems to be a common problem with these cars.
