Transmission Fluid Level

I just did a drain and fill for the 13 AT Sport and the atf level is a mm or two above the checkered portion of the dipstick. Should I drain a ounce of two? or will it be fine as is?

If it's only about 1/16" above full you should not worry. Normally 3 quarts to refill and call it good.

Funny thing is my friend changed his ATF and he put in 3 QTs while I put in 2.6 like the manual says. His fit shifts much better than mine does after the drain and fill. Before the I did the drain and fill my fluid level about 1/4in above the full line and it shifted great, but now it shifts like my old 95 civic does. Should add more fluid and it seems to make it shift better?

When you are checking the fluid level be sure you are doing the following;
Engine is at operating temp.
Then engine is off and car is on level surface.
Within 90 seconds while engine is still hot check fluid level.

One more thing, use only Honda trans. fluid otherwise shifting issues can occur . Honda's are very picky about using OEM trans fluid.
