Under-powered USB Cable on Factory Radio. Anyone with a Solution?

Good morning,

I recently bought my second Fit (2013 Sport w/Factory Radio). My previous one was a 2009 Sport w/Navigation.

On my previous one, I was using an iPod 120Go without any issues.

I discovered however that the factory radio doesn't provide enough power to use and charge an iPhone 6. I'm using Waze as a GPS and the power supplied by the car is not enough to compensate the drainage of current from the phone itself.

Reading here and there, it seems confirmed the UBS port is not powerful enough, so I'm looking for a solution...

I saw some adapter here and there, but they still seems to bear the Apple 30-pins connector (iPhone 6 has a lightning port).

The latest I read was installing a Powered USB HUB, allowing to have more power while keeping the connection with the car...

Does anybody have tried that? What did you use? Did you implement a different solution?

Thanks in advance for your answers!
