2009 Fit manual door lock issue...again
Hello all,
I own a 2009 Honda Fit (basic, not sport) that came with manual door locks (i.e. no powered lock or fob).
I've had to service the drivers door lock back in 2012 and last year, every lock on the car seized within a week, including the hatch. Honda blames the key and says it should be replace, meaning I would need a 2nd key to open the doors and the original to start the car.
This sounds ludicrous to me. It is the key I was supplied and a similar issue developed with the CRV and led to a class action suit.
Anyone else suffering these issues?

Its not the key, it's the shitty power door lock actuators on our cars. Over the course of the past 5 years of ownership I've had to get every single one replaced: all four doors plus the hatch. Some people (dealers) might try to tell you its the key. Other people (forum friends) might try to tell you its your fault for holding the handles while pressing the lock button. But the truth is, they're cheap faulty parts.

Yeah, having to fix this multiple times is enraging.
In our case it seems to be the bits in the keylock cylinders. We don't even have powered locks...yet.
I may retrofit through a 3rd party if I don't get significant relief from Honda Canada on this repair.
