More comfortable seats

I am 6'3" and I'm looking for a way to make my 2013 fit sport more comfortable on long drives. My seat is pushed all the way back, I mess with the reclining and have it in my optimal position. I sometimes experience lower back pain after a 3-4 hour long drive. Any suggestions?

Upgrading to leather upholstered seats?
Switching out the seats all together?
Seat covers?
Other unconventional ideas?

What have you done to increase your driving comfort?

Do a search. Some have added some washers to the front seat bolts to raise front of seat.

Also leg may get sore on gas pedal as it is soft. Adding a spring will stiffen it. I have had mine altered since almost day 1 on my 09. Again do a search.

I have Clazzio seat covers but do not see that as improving comfort so much as looking good. But they do make it easy to add heating pads -).

We have a GD, but my friend has a GE and the seats are similar.

May sound crazy, but I find a small towel rolled up and placed under the lumbar helps. Basically as a means to remove some of the lumbar. For my taste, it pokes out too far.

Try adding a one or two inch cushion to your seat. When I was having a lot of back pain a chiropractor recommended having my hips and knees level. Made all the difference in the world.

It's really difficult to give a definitive answer to this problem.
Because personal ergonomics, coupled with the condition of any individuals back vary from person to person.
There is no magic adjustment that absolutely will for sure work.

I try the simplest, cheapest and easiest options 1st. Which to me means buying any number of seat cushions available.
I have one I bought years ago at Costco. I like it, don't know if it helps...I can be fine without it. But it is nice, and actually nice to have for Stadiums, Movie Theaters and other venues where having a cushion might help. So? Even if it doesn't work...it's of value.
I'd try that avenue first..then if it doesn't remedy, you could start escalating to physical adjustments and other more hands on remedies.

What I did was have a seat cusion made. It has an additional 4 inches on the front of the seat, with a wedge shaped foam piece, so it makes the seat bottom 4 inches longer, but only about 1 inch taller. It GREATLY helps support my thighs. Its the best for long drives. I spent a good $120 on one of them at a custom upholstery shop, but it's made the poor seat bottoms totally liveable!! The key is that front end with a good foam support to make the extra length hold up.

Clazzios add a bit of memory foam and made my seats much more comfortable

Considering how tall you are I would look into adding seats from a Civic as others have done or going aftermarket with a comfortable set of Recaros
