'11 Fit Sport glovebox USB, does it provide power?
Looking to get a bluetooth dongle to connect my phone and plug it in the glovebox USB port, but I was wondering if that USB port provides power? That way I don't need to connect anything to the 12v cig lighter... Anyone know? And if so, anyone done it and can recommend one to buy? There are thousands on Amazon and Aliexpress.

It does, but not very much power. It's really meant to hold a thumb drive, not charge your cell phone. I don't know about the Bluetooth dongle or its power requirements.
When I had my '09, I loaded a few thousand songs on a thumb drive and played my music that way.

It does not supply enough power to be useful and trying to power bluetooth from it will not work effectively from my own experience.
The best thing I did was get a Sony XAV-AX100 headunit with carplay and android auto, bluetooth. Really improved the sound and the speakerphone is excellent even with the road noise.

I seriously thought about getting an aftermarket stereo, but it seems like such huge PITA because of the way the stock dash is. Would need what seems like a whole new dash or something, can't imagine how to make that work and look normal.
That said, I got a cheap Anker bluetooth that plugs into the AUX and the USB in the glovebox and it does indeed power it and work.

It's a 1 amp USB, vs today's 2 amp standard.
If I set-off on a 5 hour trip, it will charge my S7 from 10% to around 75%, assuming no GPS is used, etc. Otherwise, it's hardly enough to keep the phone alive under heavy use.
