Tight parking brake after brake service

My 2013 Fit Sport just turned over 90k so I decided to have the brakes serviced. After I got the car back I noticed that when I engage the parking brake it's super tight and will only click once. The shop said that it would be ok and that its due to adjusting the rear drum travel but I feel like if there is an adjustment bolt under the console it's there for a reason. Has anyone ever had their rear brakes serviced and end up with a crazy tight parking brake?

Civic 2011

I thought there was something wrong too when we got my girlfriend's car back but I trust my mechanic. Although, as the title states, it wasn't on the Fit but on a Civic 2011.
