Abs and Vsa randomly turns on

I’ve been searching for weeks and no luck. I have a 09 fit and for some reason my abs and vsa light randomly turns on and then go away. What’s bad here? Could it be the tpms are going bad or bad abs sensor? I heard there was a tsb for this but can’t find it. Anyone have this problem? Thanks

TPMS has no influence over VSA unless there is a TPMS fault which is causing a hard code (letters TPMS on). At which point, VSA can not be disabled unless the TPMS fault is repaired or codes are cleared.

You may be having a intermittently failing wheel speed sensor or ABS/VSA modulator. If possible have the ABS/VSA codes read and troubleshoot accordingly.

So I have swapped out the stock wheels and put aftermarket wheels with no tpms on and the there is no tpms light on but abs and vsa light on. Now that I’ve transfered the tpms to my after market wheels the light randomly turn off and on. That is the reason why I suspected that tpms sensors can trigger the abs and vsa.

Which light comes on after putting the tire pressure sensors in the aftermarket wheels? The letters "TPMS" or the ABS & VSA lights?

Its also common for ABS/VSA modulator to initialize and perform a system self check when you start the car. Sometimes this can result in the ABS and VSA lights to come on if there is a system fault during this self test... which is a possibility in this case.

But again, go have the codes read for the ABS and VSA system then proceed in looking at your concern from there.

Tpsm light never turns on its just the vsa and abs light. With the tpsm sensor on the lights will go away and randomly turn on.

I see... Again, go have the ABS and VSA codes pulled then update this thread with the findings. Even if the light is not on at that time, history codes usually set and can be read by a scanner.

Simple parts stores like O'rielly's, Autozone, Advanced and Napa should have code readers to do just that.

At any point, is the Check Engine Light coming "ON" too?

Believe it or not, when my spark plugs (#2 & #3) worked loose ('11 Sport AT), the CEL came on and the VSA "Disabled" light came "ON" too. Mentally, I couldn't make the connection (looked / cleaned wheel sensors without fixing the VSA problem) but when I fixed the plugs & CEL went "OFF", VSA started acting as normal. Reason I asked.
