Flasher relay?

Ok so from what I’ve gathered, there doesn’t seem to be a flasher relay in the GE8, and this function instead seems to be a part of the MICU and controlled by programming via inputs from the B-CAN bus. My question is: has anyone posted a way to modify or otherwise alter the signals going into the MICU via the B-CAN bus? I’m thinking of changing all my turn signals to LED and don’t like the idea of resistors to correct for hyper flashing. I’ve searched here and on Google but haven’t brought up much...

Chances are good, that what you want to do, is probably going to be the exact same thing as what you're trying to avoid... resistors.

If your assumption that it's controlled in the MICU, then the only way is to modify the MICU itself. And since that's not likely, the only thing left is to use resistors to bring the voltage/amperage back to what the MICU is expecting.

I figured as much, it’s just such an inelegant solution to the problem. I was hoping that maybe someone had in fact figured out how to modify the signals presented to the MICU, but in searching all the Honda forums (most Hondas moved to this setup about 10 years ago) it doesn’t look like this has been done. The signals all go across the B-CAN bus, but there hasn’t been much decoded that I’ve seen.

It is possible to do via programming but I can not tell you how. On GM trucks you can request it be changed by the dealer if you buy a truck with out a bed meaning you are putting on your own after market bed. If it is a standard truck they refuse to do it. So I know it is possible but I can not do it.
