Yeah, I don't blame you.

I guess I need to start thinking about modern cars being more like "bike helmets." They are designed to save your life after getting hit once. But they really aren't meant to be fixed up and used a second time.

From your sig, did you buy a 2018? How does it compare to the 2012? Does the steering still feel "sporty"?

Definitely has a little more oompf. Paddles are a little more responsive. I am not so scared to change lanes now since it accelerates better.

Old cars were only meant to be used once as well, because you would die or be crippled in accidents.

How does the new Fit feel just from a daily living standpoint? I'm not sure I could ever love a new one as much as I love my 13.

I just paid the car off. So I guess I was ok. Got a little better than blue book price from insurance.

I loved how my GE8 looked. The new GK has much better mileage vs the GE with less effort towards semi-hypermiling. Managed a 45.6 mpg with no traffic. I was getting 32-35 mpg with stop and go traffic also.

Bummer about the car. Good that you are OK. What's on the purchase list now.
