So I totaled my beloved gen1 fit this morning trying to rush a dog to the vet. Nobody was injured thankfully since I put a lot of work into making it crash-safe for the dogs.

Does anyone have the width between the rear wheel wells for the gen2s? I'd like to know if my kennels fit before hand since I'll need to drive out of province for used one.

 

I just measured 39.5"

 

since you are looking for another used vehicle, I figured I'd let you increase your odds with some other choices. Both my Elantra Touring and Pontiac Vibe measure 41 inches across in between the interior wheel wells. Good luck with your search.
