Nose mask & armrest

Just got to work after dropping off my Fit for a nose mask cut + install and an armrest install, plus of course the airbag recall. They estimate roughly 1 hour per job. Airbag is of course free. They wrote down $109 estimated cost for both the nose mask and the armrest. He wrote that next to both things on the paperwork. Wondering if that's going to be per part or total. I should have asked while there, but wasn't thinking much of it.

Anyone else have a nose mask? Recommendations on the care for it? I know it's not good to have it on in the rain. Moisture between it and the hood is a bad thing. How about morning dew? Pretty much every morning lately my car is covered with it. Making me kind of regret even buying the nose mask, if I can't just leave it on 24/7, other than days it rains. Got the thing to try to prevent more paint chips in the hood. It's got way too many.

I would stay away from the nose mask. You could get a bug guard or have a clear bra installed. The OEM armrest is pretty involved. I just bought one of Aliexpress and it fits into the center holes behind the E brake. It was only around $40

Well it turns out that I'm not paying for either. Went to pick up my red 2013 Honda Fit Sport at the dealership and ended up leaving with a 2019 Honda Fit EX instead. lol

I'm still wanting a nose mask or something on the front to help prevent or limit the amount of paint chips my 2013 had gotten, although those were mostly from the previous driver.

Hate to see that bill (go in thinking $109 and coming out $$$$$).

I did my own. Some assembly required.

Of course personal preference, But I also would skip the nose mask.
I've read a lot of stories about more damage than protection happening with usage. And this is subjective, but IMO the look is just too 80's or 90's.

I had clear bra installed on my previous Fit, and it did a good job of protecting while being nearly invisible.

I passed on doing it this time, and I kind of regret it. The hood is already getting chips.

I second (or third) the clear bra/film rather than the nose mask. 3M makes a full front set I believe. Less noticeable, less dated looking, and you can leave it on once it's installed. Congrats on your new Fit!
