Just bought a 2010 Fit..

I recently bought a 2010 taffeta white Fit.. military guy was leaving and i got a great deal on it. The warranty was transferred also! this is what I already have:

tint (35% around and AIR blue on the front)
shark fin
spoiler (OEM)
center arm rest (OEM)
All Season Mats & Cargo Tray (OEM)

I was wondering if there are any recommended things I should add and where online I can order it. I was looking into the following options:

1. Seat covers - current i have the cloth seats, I prefer a leather or a high quality seat but for the price i got i cant complain. Not a necessity but would love the look, maybe a suede look like a is300?

2. Interior lighting below radio - Currently i have a cig usb adaptor that i use to charge my phone. This area seems pretty dark.

3. Engine mods - would love to optimize gas mileage and performance but i am clueless in this area.

Thanks

If you wanna optimize gas mileage, keep the engine stock. As far as other mods, you could look into dropping it. I have a set of eibach sportline springs if you're interested. Shoot me a pm.

Lol!

Shameless plug for Eibach Sportlines, and getting rid of the set you have! Lol... are you a salesperson for a living? If not, you missed your calling!

I'm just playin' around with you! Eibach... Good stuff!

Congrats on the purchase.

WoW! HUGE question.

Check around on the forums... most thread titles are self-explanatory. There is a HUGE wealth of Fit modding info on this site. Take some time to look around... you'll find pretty much anything you're looking for, and then some.

Thanks guys for the prompt responses, I was kinda looking for easy mods.. like a recommended aftermarket air filter, maybe LED headlights, etc..
I am not too huge on major modifications that will cost an arm and a leg or attract the 50 in pulling me over..

Seatcovers
Honda Fit Clazzio Seat Covers

Interior lighting
Get creative, don't get the Honda kit, I hear it's dim. Throw some LED bulbs somewhere.

Engine mods:
Stock, performance is generally the antithesis of fuel efficiency. You could do turbo and have the best of both worlds (so I hear, if you stay out of boost), lots of threads on here about that, so look around.

Uhm. What. Idk if you're trying to be a troll, but I was simply offering him a set of springs that are just lying around my house collecting dust. If you had any suggestions as to what I should do with them other than make some money, then I'm all ears.

It probably goes without saying (what with you being in Hawaii and all), but if you don't have a windshield sunshade that's workable for your new Fit, get one immediately. It's a bit challenging to find ones that are shaped right for the windshield without being custom-fitted; the ones that are tall enough are mostly much too wide.

hey congrats on your Fit and welcome to FF. nice list of items you already have. are you looking for a 3rd party spoiler or the OEM Sport spoiler?

regarding the interior lighting under the radio, I have a 2012 model and it comes w/ the illumination already installed so you may be able to pick up the light cluster from a newer one and install it into yours.

and the engine mods, i too, am pretty clueless in this area but i've been staying away from this cuz i love that our cars get 35mpg!!

i've recently installed HIDs and theyre pretty nice.. just gotta aim them a little lower cuz theyre kinda bright.. we'll see how that goes. I also plasti-dip'd my front/rear emblems to give it a cleaner black on black look.

heres a link to a thread i started w/ some photos of my Fit

I had a integra before that had "Wet Okole" seats covers (local manufacturer: http://www.wetokole.com/honda_fit_seat_covers_rear.html) and was wondering if it looked the same where you can tell you had seat covers on. You can totally tell there was a seat cover on the seats. Does the Clazzio do the same or does it look better?

Thanks for the welcome, seems pretty cool place here. Actually surprised to see a group of HI peps too. I actually saw your thread initially and love the photos you took of your ride. As to the the spoiler, i am probably going to leave the stock on, i think it looks pretty nice the way it is. Love the photos near HIA.. ill look into the interior cup holder lighting and see how i can install it. I never noticed till after looking at some DIY mods that the glove compartments had no light also. Ill check out the mods and see if i can do it myself without screwing up. =) thanks!

All I can add to what's already been said is that if you do decide to get a cargo area mat if you don't have one already I would very careful in what you get in relation to its smell.

I have a 80.00 Lloyds mat that I still cannot use because of the toxic odor it gives off and it's been placed outside hanging for over a month now to try to air it out.

I was thinking of going with something like this .. black on black with white stitching to match the car's exterior.. Deciding to go leather or PVC.. suggestions? https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/1073646-post32.html gonna check out wet okole (local) to see if they have anything in stock like this first though..

upgrading the radio and speakers is pretty simple and wont break the bank. if you like music this is almost a must, the stock speakers and head unit are pretty bad.

Uhm... if you'll read my post carefully, you'll see I was only joking around. I think I even said so at the end of my response!

Geez, man... no joking around on this site. Seems almost everyone on this forum gets bent out of shape at little or nothing. Chill out, friend. I was seriously only joking.

Matter of fact, I was sorta' considering your offer after reading your response. I want to lower... but I can't lower too much (lots of hills and steep driveways in my area), and I don't want a harsh ride afterward lowering.

Once again, I was JOKING around with your post.

Sell Away... that's definitely a function of forums such as these.

BTW, the one bad thing about forums? One cannot always tell whether someone is joking, being sarcastic, just plain seriously offended or being extremely critical. There are no facial expressions to backup the poster's true intent.

It's all cool, man!

Its all good, i am sure it was just a misunderstanding. The springs are a GREAT deal but unfortunately, after thinking about it, I had to pass on it to retain the warranty.=(
