Red H Emblems on the cheap

Sorry if this is heavily covered, but I am new the the boards and wanted to share.

I just got a 2010 White Fit Sport Navi and love the car, but found the color to be just too plain and simple.

I am in process of adding red highlights across the car.
First I added red iVTEC stickers to the back door panels (similar to the civic si, but with the SOHC instead) and now I have changed the logos to Red.

I don't think the J-logos are worth the high price so I went Plastidip red instead.

I think it turned out pretty nice.
Whatya think?
Before:

During:

After (Still have to clean up some of the overspray):

The front looks pretty interesting as the background is recessed. It has a bit of the prius' Toyota emblem look, but cooler.

For those curious, I bought my Plastidip

Look just like some of the ones I've seen for sale! The front really pops. Nice job.

I've been looking for options to do the same. Yours came out very good. I went to Lowes & HD to pick up some plastidip and they only stock black. I went back home emptyhanded. I went ahead and ordered red, gunmetal, metalizer and gloss. I intend to hit up my clear tails, rear diffuser, door handles and the front Honda emblem.

Intriguing, would like to see the final products here.

Dumb question, but how do you remove the masking without accidentally peeling of some of the plastidip? I had a really hard time with this when I plastidipped my rear bumper appliqué.

Wouldn't it drip past the edge?

I did about 5-6 coats. First coat is a very light brushing.
Wait about 20-30 min between each coat.
After you wait the last time, look carefully at the seams.

I had a sharp exacto knife (razorblade) and ran across the seams just to confirm.

Then just carefully pull.

If you mess up (I did the first time), remask everything and start again .

I hate painting, but plastidip makes the mistakes so much easier to repair.

Looks fantastic, do you plan to plastidip anything else on your car? Steering wheel logo or wheels?

I have a couple things in mind:

1) I saw someone else do a red line at the top of the grill. This is slight mimic of the GTI red highlights, I may do the same to get a bit more flavor in this all white car.

2) I plan on plastidiping black the bottom rear bumper valence. Not sure why our car is monochrome back there when almost all other cars make their rear valance black to add more styling. I've seen pics and it looks good.

I think the line over the hood would look really good. The car does tend to get bland since it is all white. As for the rear bumper valence, if you check out my pics I have it plastidipped black. Turns out, the previous owner felt the same way as us and did it. I have a thread over in the Fit Photos section. Check it out.
