Sorry if this is in the wrong thread. I am having issues with my 09 Honda fit sport. Recently the manual transmission has been feeling spongy and the gear shifts have felt vague if that makes any sense. Just this week my car will no longer shift into 5th gear or reverse any time I push my gear shifter to the right there is no resistance and shifting into 5th just goes into 3rd and reverse just goes into 4th gear. Also when I am in 3rd or 4th gear i am able to push the shifter to the right. I just had the clutch replaced if anyone can help me shed any light on my problem that would be extremely helpful thanks.

 

Was the clutch bled properly? There could be air in the system.

Has the MT fluid ever been replaced?

Before shifting into reverse try going into first gear first then into reverse.
