2nd gen Fit reliability
That's a GREAT idea! I always thought the survey should distinguish between a small problem like fixing a glove box rattle or updating the MPG computer from something serious like say, catastrophic engine failure.
Also, I'm still a bit confused as to what constitutes a reportable repair. I'm browsing the 2009 Fit repair history, and I'm seeing stuff like "needed wheel alignment" and "windshield cracked" and "tire had a bulge"... can you clarify?
(I guess this is one of the difficulties in getting reliable data
).

We've updated the results for the Fit to include owner experiences through September 30, 2010.
Other sources of car reliability information won't cover the months since April until the summer or even fall of next year.
Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:
2010: 32
2009: 11
Both are better than average.
We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds," to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop.
For the 2009, the percentage with no repairs is about 94, while the percentage of lemons is less than one. These are extremely reliable cars.
