DIY of my own

Hi everyone,
this is my most recent pics of my fit with DIY headlights and rear diffuser. I did the lights myself but I had frnd who's a painter to do the rear for me. the rear is not so great since we did it at like around 11pm on a weekday. neways, I would like to thank niko the DIY guy for his thread on the DIY. enjoy!

Looks nice, but can't see the diffuser in the pics.

How 'bout a close-up?

Also, any pics of your CF interior mods?

Sorry for the late response!
I finally washed my car today and took some shots... here they are up close:

suggestion: i painted a little low on top.... it would look a lot better if paint right to the boundary line where the rear lip piece is....

a little flaw right above the tip.... stupid masking!!

nice and clean....

I think the grill looks good in silver. It's a nice accent. (To each his own)

I think you could "fix" the paint-line on the top edge of the diffuser by applying pin stripe tape there (say, 1/8" or 3/16" wide). This would allow you to cover the area where the mask pulled the paint up...and bring the dark area "up" to the boundary line as well.

Might even look nice in a complementary color. Think how a Volks GTI grill looks with it's blacked-out center and red accent edges. Now imagine red brake calipers, a red stripe above the diffuser, and red surrounding the front "H" badge on your Fit.

thanks for your suggestion! i think i'll definitely go with the tape, but still thinking about whether to do it in red or not.... i've painted calipers in the past and just painted my headlights so no painting of calipers for me at the moment.... had enough hard time with headlights....
i'm into performance mods now....

Still waiting for a link to the CF interior bits.

I did that with our CR-V...the interior was all black, like a coal mine.

So I livened it up with some accents in colored carbon fiber. (EVERYBODY does fake wood or plastic aluminum.)

You can find a diy on headlights at the diy section of the forum.... it's very well made by a forum member..... very easy and simple.... but took me a long time... the only thing i did different from the diy is that i sanded the headlights instead of using adhesion promoter.... the reason y it took me so long.... i recommend u using the promoter, a lot more convenient and faster....
for the diffuser, i got my frnd who's a painter to do it for me... he did it real quick and it seemed easy... dun really know wut paint he used but i think it's his own paint supply from his work... paint+adhesion promoter probably cuz he didnt have to sand the diffuser.... well... there's a diy on this as well so help urself!!! hope this helped!!

as for the interior trims my friend.... i've been so lazy these days that i never got a chance to take pics at daytime.... hard to see in my garage even with lights turned on... they're jus honda oem instrumental and vent kit.... u can see them at the honda site... i'll still post pics for u! now i'm thinking about getting carbon fiber steering wheel and tailgate cover...
