I have a GE8 and was able to find mounting points for the ballasts and install without taking the wheels off or bumper. Here's my problem though:

When I seat the bulb into the lamp it's flush but I can't get the retainer clip to hold. I'm assuming since the base of the bulb is a hair bit thicker than the stock metal, it's causing a problem.

Anyone have a solution to this? It's really frustrating.

 

the metal clip is flexible so you going to have to force it back to where is suppose to clamp back on.

 

where did you mount your ballast?
i am getting and HID kit soon and dont want to pull my bumper, any pics?
