No AC and engine noise?
Hey guys, 2011 Fit Sport here. I searched some old threads but could not seem to find a problem quite like this one.
Yesterday about 10 minutes into my commute home the air conditioner stopped working. The AC switch light comes on and the blower just lets in ambient temperature air. I cannot hear the clutch cycling nor do the RPMs dip when I turn the system on and off.
Today when I got home I could here a strange rattling sound, almost like a metal on plastic. I thought it was coming from the valve area but now I think it could be near the compressor.
My thought is the bearings in the compressor or some other component. The two issues are too coincidental to not be related.
Thoughts?
