Anyone had this problem with the 2012 model? Every once in while when driving the wheel kinda locks or rather becomes heavy, I'd say it is borderline dangerous. I called Honda and they are asking some $90 only for diagnostics... Thanks

 

your power steering might be going bad

 

I agree with ryu—sounds like power steering cutting out for some reason. I would generally expect that there would be a code recorded in the computer...and probably the electric power steering idiot light coming on (IIRC a steering wheel and exclamation point icon).

 

Is it possible to get it fixed by myself? The battery was replaced recently, I wonder if that could be related.
