So I'm new to this forum, and was looking for some help. I just recently bought an '09 Fit from a dealership that I actually work for, (bought from Honda, work for Toyota) and I decided to check for any open recalls AFTER buying it. (backwards order, i know) Lost Motion Spring recall. So I decided to have the recall done and on my way to work the following day, it just stalls out at 40mph. So I have it towed back to the dealer, and they say it's due to spark plugs and a coil pack. I drive it fine the following day, but the day after that it stalls out again at the same speed, same time of the morning, same spot. This is all at 6:30am in Central PA where it's getting a little chilly. Not sure if temp would matter. Anyways, i tow it BACK to the dealer for the second time and they claim they had to readjust the valve clearances. Fine, except when I start the car, now it initially jumps to 2200rpm and SLOWLY comes down from there. If I tap the gas, say to 1500rpm, it'll go to 1500, come down, then go BACK to 1500 all by itself and come back down again. I took it back to the dealer and told them this, and supposedly they REadjusted the clearances and now it's fine. But it still does that weird start up and I really don't wanna take it back to them. Finally starting to doubt they know what they're doing. Anybody on here have a common problem or is it just the dealer? ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT AND APPRECIATED!
