Come on 48 reviewed and no one had there 09 done, well I got my 09 scheduled to get the recall done on Thursday. Hopefully I am not the only one who is going to get it done.

I had the recall done several months after I received the notice. What are your concerns? There is a thread about this and FF members were complaining about damaged cowls and broken clips. I purposely delayed having it done hoping the dealer would gain enough experience by the time I decide to bring my car in.

Kimi,
Was there anything damaged when you got your car back? Also where did you take your car to be done at?
Hopefully they have learned to do it correctly by now!

No damage. It doesn't look like my cowl was touched. No scratches, no gaps on the cowl and no broken clips. When I got my car back, I opened the hood and inspected it before leaving the dealer. I wondered whether the recall was actually done on my car ... or they are so good at their job that I couldn't tell.

I took my car to Pflueger for the recall. Before I made an appointment, I called the service department. I asked the Service Advisor how many recalls they had performed already. At that time, Pflueger claimed they were doing 1 or 2 recall jobs a week. I decided to wait another month before making an appointment. Don't worry, I think your car will be fine.

I had my 09 done as soon as the recall came out, months ago. I was probably the first to have it done at that dealer. There was no change in any operational characteristics, luckily. I now have about 8k miles on it, with no issues, so far. I only know they did something on the engine because they took out all my screens I put in to prevent mice from entering the filter and the cabin.

Wow!
Kimi you were lucky I guess, because I just got it done yesterday and one of the clips were broken and the small piece of the cowl by the drivers side was not put in properly. No big deal though I just put that piece back in myself and the broken clip I can deal with cause it does not vaibrate. I took it to the same place Pflueger Honda.
