Cool bumpy ride

I have a 2009 Red Honda Fit that bounces a lot when i'm driving. i have 140,000 miles and i know the shocks and struts need to be replace. however my buddy recommend coil overs. does anybody have any recommendation on coil overs. Best brand and cost. not trying to break the bank. budge is less than $600 and looking for three bids.

Your best bet with that budget is to get OEM type replacement struts/shocks. Even a good/premium set of those will be over budget.

Inexpensive coilovers are considerably more bouncy than stock. They are probably a break even in bounciness somewhere in the $1200 range and don't actually get improvements over factory till the $2000+ range from what I've read. Any I've experienced were an improvement in handling, but a step down in overall comfort. Stuff like Ohlin's and Bilstein are reported to be an improvement in ride quality, but I've never had the pleasure of finding out.
