best wire/tap point to use for Powered Sub 'control'.

Hi everyone. So sorry if this has been answered in another thread; I had a good look through but couldn't find anything conclusive.

I have a 2012 Fit and want to install a Pioneer TS-WX130DA. https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/P...fer/TS-WX130DA

Plan to keep the stock/factory head unit.

I plan to use the speaker level inputs and use the fusebox (add-a-fuse) for power (from the cigarette lighter fuse - let me know if that's a bad idea)

However, where the heck to I find the correct wire for the 'remote' / trigger for the amp? Theres talk of using the ACC or the power antenna (which we don't have((?)) but I'm unsure which color/location they are. Is there even a wire I could use that means I don't have to take the headunit out?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

You should add power from a new source not off of the cigarette lighter.

As for the remote turn on wire you can use any 12V source that is ON when the key is switched in the ACC position. Without removing the HU that would be one of the igntion wires that you could use. What wire? You would have to test with a volt meter or test light but I'm sure someone will know the colors. You can also run this wire to a toggle switch and run the switch to 12V if you want to be able to turn it off with the car on.

I use this site for wire information.

Thanks GolNat. Appreciate the reply. Mind if I ask, don't pull power from any of the fuses (using a share-a-fuse) or just don't use the cigarette lighter one specifically?

I would run the power for the amp directly off the battery with an inline fuse.
